A migraine tracker that keeps your health data yours
A migraine diary can reveal health history, routines and medication use over years. Migrelle is built so that the working copy stays on your phone, and this page explains what changes when you enable optional services. For the legal detail, read the privacy policy.
Local-first: your phone is the source of truth
Your phone is the source of truth. You can open Migrelle, log attacks, review history and calculate local insights offline. You do not need an account to begin or to keep using the local diary.
What is encrypted, and where
The database on your phone is encrypted with SQLCipher; its key is kept in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. If backup is enabled, your phone encrypts each health record before it is sent. The service receives ciphertext and record metadata, not the readable diary content.

Encrypted backup and the recovery code
Premium backup requires an account verified by an email one-time code. A recovery code held by you protects the key used to unlock the encrypted backup. Migrelle cannot reset or recover that code; losing it means neither you nor we can decrypt the existing backup.
What we can and cannot see
With backup enabled, the service can hold your account email, subscription state, an encrypted key bundle and record metadata such as type, schema version and updated or deleted time. Record bodies remain encrypted. Weather and place lookup receive an IP address in transit and a location rounded to roughly 0.1°; they do not receive your diary. Migrelle’s operator cannot read the content of your log entries from the backup.
Ads, data selling and analytics
Migrelle contains no advertising SDK and does not sell health data. Optional product analytics are off by default. Crash reporting is on by default with an opt-out and is configured to avoid personal data; anonymous aggregate counters have no user or device identifier. A support report is sent through Wiredash only when you submit one. On iOS, RevenueCat can process Apple Search Ads attribution. This website uses Vercel Analytics and OpenPanel as described in the privacy policy.
